bUmbu dESa..

Yesterday, while I was relaxing in front of the television and surfing the net through my Ipad2, my friend, Azida said she wanted to come to my house. Panic attacked! Sure, she can come, but the house is a wreck. It is still in the process of spring cleaning.

But we ended up going lunch at The Curve. She came with Jo, about an hour and a half later. They came inside the house, inspected the house for awhile. They gave suggestions on what to do with the house. Yes, I admit the house needs a lot of work. I need a long time to get everything settled. Money is one of the reason. I don't have a huge lump sum to make the house beautiful. Maybe one thing at a time. For now, all I need to do is tidy up the house and throw away things that are not needed anymore.

The three of us went to Bumbu Desa to have lunch. The restaurant served Indonesian meals. It was my first time dining there, despite walking past it all the time. The waiter was over friendly. He volunteered to snap photos for us time and time again. We had to listen carefully to him because his English was different. He had Indonesian slang. The meals were excellent. All of us ordered the Set Meals, which was easier to choose from. I recommend people to go if they want to. I still think Dapur Penyet is better though.

Afterwards, we went window shopping around The Curve. They ended up buying tops, while I held back my urge to spend about RM120 on 2 tops. Heh.. Can anyone (again..) spare me the money..?

QAS, banGi..

Monday was a public holiday because of awal Muharram. I planned to go to Big Bad Wolf Sale at South City Plaza. I asked my friends whether they wanted to go as well, and they did. Since we didn't know how to go to the place, Edi and I picked up Azida at her shop. After communicating with Amy and Jo, we headed straight to the Mines. I was a bit puzzled at first. Why on earth are we heading to the Mines when I know the sale was at South City Plaza? So, I just kept quiet first because I thought Azida knew another way to South City Plaza.

To keep my story short, yup, we went to the Mines instead of South City Plaza. Azida thought the sale was at Mines and when Amy and Jo gave directions, there were a few miscommunication involved. Amy and Jo were at South City Plaza waiting for us. We were at Mines looking for them. We can look, but we won't be able to find each other, even until next year. ~.~"

Funny though, at Mines there was a book convention, but World CHINESE Book Convention, and we don't even read Chinese. Sigh~

Finally, we decided just to go back and meet up at Amy's shop in Bangi. They told us that the Big Bad Wolf Sale was not that interesting because only old books were left. When I checked their FB page again, yup, they were selling the leftovers after the previous sale. Well, that plan went south.

So what we did was just hung out at Amy's shop. It was my first time going there. Catching up is a must, and boy, did I learned a lot of news from my friends. Sad and happy news. I'm just sad that now I am transferred to KL, some of my friends are planning to leave KL. The timing sucks, but life must go on.

Anyway, I finally found out where my new school is. I must say, it will be a major different from my previous school. At least, that is what I'm thinking right now. We'll see.

Last Sunday, I had a day full of activities. Early in the morning, Edi went to fetch his father at KL Sentral. After breakfast, we went to Ampang to fetch Yus. We had a wedding to attend to at Senawang, Negeri Sembilan. It was Edi's cousin's wedding. Many of the relatives from Perak came. My mom-in-law was there as well. We gathered at a homestay nearby.

The wedding was okey. I thought wedding of people in Negeri Sembilan will be full of tradition. But unfortunately it was not. It was like other weddings.

After the wedding, we went back to KL. On our way, there was a very terrible accident. It involved about 10 cars, and one car plunged into a cliff. I did not see it happened in front my of eyes. I was shocked to see the condition. What cause the accident, I don't know. But what I know is that, it was raining cats and dogs during that time. Our vision were limited.

When we arrived home, we chilled for awhile. Later in the evening, we went to One Utama to have an early dinner. They wanted to have steamboat. After a few suggestions were made, we decided to go to Johnny's. Dinner went well. There were 5 of us and our total bill was RM99.90.

After dinner, we went window shopping for awhile. Around 8.30pm, we send our family to KL Sentral. Abah and Mak had to go back to Taiping, while Yus had to go back to Ampang.

So that was what I did during one whole day. Typical Sunday, right?

onE hoLIdaY - PangKor ISLand..

There was this one year where we went to Pangkor Island during Raya Haji holidays. It was Taiping clan's turn, Abah and Mak wanted to go on a holiday instead of balik kampung.

The getaway was occupied by taking photos of the landscape and dipping in the sea. Not much activities were done. Abah and Mak just wanted to have a relaxing time.

Shawl - a gift from Kak Ani, handbag - a gift from Mom, shirt - Misslily Shop, skirt - Mydin, cardigan and flats - Bandung

These were taken at IPC after we went hunting for the wardrobe at Ikea. The decoration is not fully ready yet, but I decided to snap a few photos of myself anyway.

Since we did not buy any wardrobe that day, we decided to have dinner there. The menu were the usual. So, no pics were taken. After that, I wanted to buy some groceries at Cold Storage but it was already closed. My groceries stock is running low. I need to buy them soon.

muTTon..

We have been to Al-Fateh Restaurant a few times already. Every time we went there, we always ordered Chicken Mandy.
This time, we tried the mutton instead. For me, it was delicious, but not out of this world. I thought I would love it better than the chicken, but it turned out to be the same level. But I recommend you go eat there. It is still the best compare to other Arab restaurant, according to Edi and my friends.

hOw LonG wiLL u stanD?

I have been unpacking my stuff bit by bit. I don't spend one whole day to unpack, instead I unpack one bag a day. I'm still figuring out the space for my stuff. Loads of old stuff must be thrown away.

Yesterday, I unpacked my work attires. I only brought half of them. Another half are still back in Terengganu. Edi and I had surveyed at Ikea for some affordable wardrobe, but none seem available. There was this one particular that we had our eyes on. We surveyed in Ikea's website. But unfortunately, when we went to the store, it is not available. Stop production, said the person in yellow and blue with jeans. Guess I have to wait for another wardrobe which fit my budget.

At the mean time, my work attires are hung here :

It doesn't look like it's going to stand for a long time

Unimportant fact : I make sure to use hanger that is different colour from the outfit. Habit.

LeftOverS..

When Edi and I want to eat crabs, we always go to Paradise Deluxe. In fact, I think I have posted several times about this place.

Recently, before coming down to KL, we went there again. We tried a new menu. Edi's friend recommended it and I have tried it before, once, with my friends.

The menu is Ketam Telur Masin, which was very delicious!! I wish I can eat it again some day. When we ate that day, we actually ordered more than we should have. As the result, we could not finish the crabs. We took home the remain crabs home, hoping that we can eat it the next day. But it turned out the next day, we were busy packing and putting my stuff into the car. After that, we got ready and immediately drove back to KL.

We totally had forgotten about our crabs. Not only that, we also had forgotten the keropok rebus that my sister-in-law had ordered. I wonder if my sister had done something with the foods.

The LAst fEw dayS..

These pictures were taken at my Terengganu house. I had a few more days left to be in Terengganu. It was already school holidays, and Edi came back so that we can drive back to KL together. He will never let me drive alone.

I'll be settling in KL from now on. I'll be back in Terengganu just for the holidays. I'll miss a lot of things there, and the people as well. Speaking of settling, should I change my blog name? My life is not unsettled anymore, except for a few minor things. We'll see. I can't make up my mind. I might stick to the name anyway.

Shawl that was given my teacher-friends, Fossil sunglasses, apple mints shirt, Bandung jeans skirt and Charles and Keith handbag. As for my accessories, they are from various purchases.

When a Cat Eats a biRd..

That is my cat, eating a bird that she hunted. I gave my cats their meal once a day, during dinner. This is because I am not at home for their lunch. They always look for food on their own. During night time (dinner), they will come home and wait for me.

So this one time, during a weekend, I found one of my cat eating a bird. I can't identify the bird cause it was, well, you can see the photo yourself. I don't mind my cats hunting small animals, it is just that when they eat their prey at places they are not suppose to.

For this photo, she ate right in front of our door. Mann!! Usually the cats won't eat everything. There will be left overs, which your truly will have to clean up. This is not the first, there were small rats, lizards, etc. Since I take care of the cats, I am the one who have to do the clean up.

Another reason for posting the picture is.. my cat represents Harimau Muda and the bird represents Garuda (Sea Games 2011). Sorry guys.

UnpackEd..

I have not blog for a couple of days. Reason is that my computer is still in my bag, still unpacked. Right now, I am using Edi's laptop to update.

There are a lot of things to be done. Bags to unpack. House to clean and tidy. Room also must be tidy up to make room for my things. I have a lot of things. I don't know where and how to start packing my stuff. There are a lot of things in this house must be thrown away. Old stuff.

I also need to buy a new wardrobe. But with my budget now, I think I must buy a temporary wardrobe. I can't afford to buy the wardrobe that I really want.

Anyway, since I am here, can't wait to see my friends. They seem busy when I send a message to them to set a date. A thing we always face each time we want to meet up.

Friends to hang out with

You may notice I'm typing/writing rubbish without a real point. I am actually watching the football final match between Malaysia and Indonesia for the Sea Games 2011. Right now Indonesia had already scored a goal. I am tensed. Isk..

AnnoyinG nEighBourS..

I don't mingle much with my neighbours. You can say that I am a bit arrogant. I'll be friendly if we know each other for some time, or we clicked instantly, but that hardly happens.

I always have problems with my neighbours. Let's just say that we are really different. Is not like I fought with them all the time, but more like I don't like what they do. Especially if they are near, too-close-for-comfort kinda way.

Once, they like to park near our gate, which made it difficult for me to go out and come in my own home. That problem no longer persist, thank you. The kid from the back likes to torture animal. I hate that. I once shouted at one of them for purposely stepping on a kitten. The other kids like to come in and out our house compound as if the place is their own. I always scold them.

I rarely smile at them. How can I smile if I go out at night to feed my cats and this is what I see...

The black part is my gate. So you can see how close they lepak to my house, in the middle of the night. You can't help feeling annoyed, a little scared and uncomfortable when you see them this close. They will be there almost every night. Grrrr!!
