In The MeanTime..

While waiting for tomorrow's big news, here are some last weekend photos which I have not post in this blog yet. These were taken at the Ibai Lagoon. This part is not that pretty. There are other parts of the lagoon that are breathtaking. =)

Something big is going to happen this Sunday, after school. Can't wait!

This is one of Edi's favorite restaurant in Kuala Terengganu. It is situated at Pasir Panjang. They serve mainly seafood, but of course there are other dishes that are finger licking good. The prices are quite reasonable for that kind of restaurant. Quite exclusive I must say. There was this one year that we celebrated our anniversary there. During Ramadhan, we went for our iftar there as well. Sometimes, we went there just because Edi felt like eating crab. Fyi, there are 40 kind of crab menus. We have tasted 3 menus. Our last visit was quite a disappointment. There wasn't any crab available at all. Our main reason to go to that restaurant was to eat crab!

These are the pictures during our last visit, which was last weekend.

When what I wore doesn't make sense. I thought I was wearing something appropriate to go to an open house of one of my colleagues . Well, it was appropriate. But.. When I got back home and uploaded the photo in my lappy, only then I noticed that the outfit was horrible. Blame it on how I posed? I don't know. It doesn't suit me well I assume.

Very the makcik one.
What do you think? Heh..

That PHotoshOOt..

I had photo shots at Masjid Terapung a few times already. From the day we started to toy around with DSLR until now. In fact, if I remember correctly, even before DSLR. I think I did take a few photos using my digital camera. The mosque itself is magnificent. Especially during noon. You can see the reflection in the lake. Very breathtaking. The mosque is also near a creek and you can see the sea. You can take a lot of great photos around here. But if you know me, I don't take pictures of sceneries that much. I perasan take pictures of myself. I mean, Edi takes them, not me. There are always people around. No matter in the evening or in the afternoon. But I'm not sure during night time as I never go there during that time. Why would I?

This is one of the photoshoots taken a few years back.

SaraWak..

No, I didn't go to Sarawak recently. Saying that, Sarawak is the only state in Malaysia that I have never been to. When will I get the chance to go?

Actually my friend from uni days came to Terengganu recently. Ejan went on a honeymoon to Pulau Redang. To kill time while waiting for their night flight, I accompanied them. Ejan wanted to buy souvenirs for her sister. At the same time, her husband, Mizy was hungry and wanted to eat keropok lekor. I went to fetch Ejan and Mizy at the airport. I took them to a boutique at Gong Badak, which belongs to my friend's sister.

After shopping there, we went to Teluk Ketapang to have ICT. Do you know what ICT is? Ikan Celup Tepung laa. I did not eat anything because before meeting them I went to Kak Ana's house for an open house. I ate a lot because finally I get to eat Nasi Tomato, which I was craving for it since the early of Ramadhan. Mizy ate a lot. He really was hungry. Ejan ate a little. She did not like seafood so much. Her lost.

There was a lot of catching up to do. I haven't seen her since my UM days. That was about 8 years ago. How time flies. She didn't change much. But both of us are getting bigger compare to back then. I think it was an hour later when Mizy said he wanted to go back to the airport to rest. Plus, it was getting dark, a sign it was going to rain.

When we arrived at the airport, Mizy went inside first. He wanted to have some shut eyes. So me and Ejan stayed in the car. We still had a lot to talked about. It was raining by then. Raining cats and dogs. It was a shock for me to find out one of our friends had become gay. Who knew. Heh. We also talked about our past.

I missed hanging out with friends like that. Since moving back to Terengganu, I don't do that as much. Most of my friends are in KL. I have to go to KL to hang out with my friends. So lucky me I do go to KL often. Oh yeah, we did not take any photos together. I still don't have any camera for now. This sucks.

This represents us going shopping at the boutique.

This represents us gossiping and catching up in the rain.
p/s: The title is Sarawak because Ejan is from Sarawak. =D

wOrk HarassMent..

Before you think of something inappropriate, this harassment is not that. This is related to sales people coming in and out of our school, selling and promoting all sorts of stuff. From delicious cakes to lame small water fountain.

I always have no problem with the insurance and credit card people. Plus the personal loan people. I can dismiss them without much hassle. But this one time, there was this group of people saying that they were from Koperasi Guru Melayu or something like that. Offering the normal membership. But after all of us were forced to listen to their presentation... YAWN!! Insurance in disguise. Looking at their leaflet, I saw all these premiums and plans that we can choose from. So obvious. I wonder why the others did not catch their act. I explained to those who were near me. Then only they realized it.

When we refuse to give them our phone number or even fill in their forms, muka dah tarik 14ribu kedut. They don't smile at you anymore. What kind of sales person are you? You can't force people. I know that for a fact. To make things worst, one of them did something very shocking. Maybe because most of us ignored them and they were not able to achieve their sales target, this person stole a teacher's purse!! They were hovering this one corner in the teachers' room to sit around waiting for their next "victim". The teachers stayed away from them, refusing to be forced to leave a contact number or even buy the insurance. After this group of people went back, this particular teacher went to her place and found out the her purse was gone. Let me tell you that we teachers do leave our stuff around at our place or on our table. Before this, nothing of such incident happened. Even the students come and go, our stuff is safe. This is a lesson to all of us to not leave our valuables everywhere. But still, who are they to come to our place with sour faces and steal from us?! Benciiii!!

Today's story. 2 ladies came to the school, wearing revealing skirts. I was having a class when they passed by. You can guess what happened. Come on, I dare you. If you guessed they stopped by my class, you're wrong. But if you guessed that I had to stop teaching, then you are right. Why, because the boys kept looking and glancing outside, looking at these 'chicks'. They lost concentration, of course. Seeing something that excites them, which comes once in a blue moon. Fine.

After the time passed for a bit, I went back to the staffroom. There they were promoting their products. All I knew at that time was they were selling books. I did not go near them, avoiding them. It was about 2p.m when it happened. These ladies were near my place and I had to go back there to take my stuff. I could not avoid them any longer. I had to sit and listen to their sales pitch. It appears that they were selling magazines which must be subscribed, typical. Again, YAWN!! I was not interested at all with the magazine. We moved on to the next product. Travel package. One of the teachers actually told them that I like to travel. Khianat betul. When people are promoting, of course everything is good, the price is cheap. And yes, all the price that they told me was very tempting. Cheap travel throughout SE Asia. But there is always a catch. You need to be a member and pay the membership fee. Again, typical. DOUBLE YAWN!! Guess how much must I pay for the fee for me and Edi? Rm800+!! Paying such amount when I don't even know when I am going on a holiday, is a risk I do not want to take. Yes, I do like to travel, but on my own terms.

I don't have anything against the sales people. I was a sales person before. I know how they feel, desperate for sales. I was like that before. All because of commission. Now I feel so guilty harassing those people back then. Sorry guys. But please, no means no!

QuicK WeekenD..

First of all, I would like to say sorry to the school. I lied. But it is not entirely my fault. It's you people up there who won't let me transfer, so I will seize every moment I have with my husband. Since my husband came back to Terengganu, I did not attend one of the PMR camps held by the school. I mean, it was on a Friday. Moreover, it was Malaysia Day. Double holiday! Of course Edi and I had planned long time ago for him to come back here. We were told about this camp a few days before the camp. Come on, be realistic here. Between my husband and my job, my choice is obvious. If we were told or given an earlier notice about the camp, I might have changed plan with Edi. Ini tidak, semua nak suruh terkejut and kanja. Do you know what kanja is? It's a Terengganu word.

I also had a camp in the morning, today, Sunday. Yes, I attended the camp because it was on Sunday, which is a work day in Terengganu. I don't mind eventhough Edi was still here. Both of us understood that I work on Sundays. But if you come and tell me to work on a Friday without giving me an early notice, especially when Edi is here or I'm going to KL,  then sorry to say. Saya tidak menurut perintah.

Some of the teachers at school are cool with it. They understood  my situation long time ago. I can escape a few works because of this. It's not that I don't want to do it. People have to understand that I go to KL by flight. I have to book the tickets as early as possible because of the price. So anything that I have to do suddenly, without any warning or notice, might be ignored because I do not want to loose my flight money. Unless the school wants to reimburse. I think not.

So here are some of the pictures during this quick weekend.

whAt?! resUMe?!!

My sister has been nagging me about taking masters or become a tutor in any college because it is hard for me to get transfered to KL/Selangor. Many of her friends became tutors, after being teachers. Some continued studying masters. So, this one fine day, by luck, my sister asked our childhood friend about it. She is a tutor at IIUM. She replied by saying there is a vacancy next year. Replacing her!! She's moving to follow her husband, I think.

Now, I need to do a resume, which I haven't done in like 8 years!! With a help from a friend (she's applying as well), I'm still updating it. Quite hard because I need to remember back everything from the past. The courses' that I have attended during my teaching years.

Thanks to all the people who have been trying to help me with my long over due problem. There is one teacher from my school who is also trying to help me. She has a friend at PPD Wilayah. I need to go and see her friend and discuss my situation. If I am able to, I would want to be transfered to PPD Wilayah directly. No more schools to deal with. It's not that I don't enjoy teaching, I am just frustrated of how the "org atasan" have been treating me.

Oh well..
You can call this my second home. The airport.
