After coming back from Phillip Island, we went back to Victoria, Melbourne. This our apartment, Darling Tower. The place was cozy.

Early in the morning. We were waiting for Amy to come and pick us up. This day was the day we went to town, to buy souvenirs and to do some shopping for ourselves.

We took the tram first. It is widely used there. Why not experience it ourselves. Can you see the tram at the back? It looks a lot like a bus.
After tram, we took the train to a shopping mall. The station was called Flinders Street.

Tourist much?

We arrived at Southern Cross Station, where we went to a shopping mall. I bought a leather handbag.
The Etihad Stadium. Amy said the stadium is famous, but I have not heard of it. Then again, I am not that into sports.

After a bit of shopping, we had churros near a river. I can't recall whether it was our snack or our breakfast.

These are the churros. Crunchy and yummy!! Dip them in chocolate sauce. =9
Look at the satisfied face. =D

When the belly was full, we posed.

The people that I've known for almost about 16 years.
Around town. Us with our shopping bags. Azida ngelat suruh Ridzuan pegang.

A must picture to prove that we were in Melbourne. Heheh..

One of their cool buildings. There were a lot interesting buildings there.

Flinders Street Station. I think this is the centre of the town. There was a huge crowd of people here.

Time to eat lunch. We had Indonesian meal which was scrumptious. Big portion as well, so i had to give to Edi to finish mine.

The sunken library in Melbourne. Nice and unique. Oh, the brown paper beg that Edi's holding contained souvenirs for people back home.

Next stop was the factory outlet. Yup, I did go crazy here. But I was a bit puzzled because it was quite empty. Don't Australians shop? Or was it the timing?

I bought 4 Roxy handbags. A few tops. It was satisfying to be able to go crazy shopping. Whenever will I have that experience again?

Some people were already tired of walking and shopping , but not me!

After all the shopping activities, we strolled along a park. Were we that excited? Except for Amy, she was trying to kick Azida. =P

Edi was tired, so we rested for awhile.

We went to Melbourne during the summer. So there were a lot of ice creams and yogurts sold. We just had to try them also.

Let's rest for a bit while enjoying our yogurt ice creams.

This was our last place in Melbourne. Albert Park Manor, a budget hotel. Quite scary at night, bit it didn't matter. We were too tired to be scared of the eerie ambiance.

At night, we posed while waiting for Amy to come and pick us up for dinner.

We had kebab, and still it was a big portion. But luckily, this time, I managed to finish my meal. Finally!

After dinner, we walked around town again. Not many people were around, so we could fool around taking pictures.

Some night sceneries.

Yeah, keep on dreaming. As if we can afford staying at the Hyatt!

aUStraLia Trip 2010 - daY 2

This is where we stayed at Phillip Island. Quite cozy.

It's called Kaloha Holiday Resort. I remember Ridzuan calling this place Kak Leha's. =D
First thing we did the second day was head to the beach. Again, as if we don't have any beach back home.

The beach was quite calm. Not many people, maybe coz it's still morning.

The real reason for this holiday. Yeayy!! Finally I get to play with the kangaroos. Best!!

These kangaroos are small sized. That's okey. If we went and saw the big ones, we might have been scared to play and cares them. Plus, these ones were cute enough!!

Pity this one. Albino. Never mind. I still think you're cute!

Another reason to go to Aussie. Koala!!! Cute!! Too bad we can't hug them here. But being this close to the koala, I felt excited enough! Anyway, there were a few more animals that we saw such as wallabies, llama, and wombat. Others were the usual such as peacock, alligator and pony.

After animal petting, we went to a strawberry farm to do some strawberry picking.

The strawberries were cheap but too bad we were not able to finish all of them, too many.

Edi was enjoying himself too.

Us girls after strawberry picking. We had delicious ice creams.

That night, we went back to Darling Tower and Edi cooked us dinner. Me and Azida helped. These were the results!!

Later that night, we strolled around town. Most of the shops were closed already. So, I wasn't able to shop yet! Would you look at the shoes!! Droooolllllll..

Not so much traffic during the night. I wonder where the locals went..

auStraLia triP 2010 - Day 1

Something from the past. Since I only started this blog, there are a lot of stories to blog about. Some of the stories had been told, but not here. Some are also old news, but still.. I do wanna keep them in this blog.

Okey, let's enjoy the "old" pictures first. =D

This is where we stayed the first night. Darling Towers. It's an apartment that we shared with Azida and Ridzuan.

Our first meal/breakfast in Aussie. Falafel. I think they're Jewish. So, it's kosher. Okey for us to eat.

Chocolate Factory at Phillip Island. I think the factory belongs to a Malaysian, I'm not sure.

These are my friends since high school. Me, Amy and Azida

Planning our journey. Our place at Phillip Island.

Then we went to the beach to chill for awhile.

As if we don't have beaches back home.

This is the only photo of all of us together. Me, Edi, Azida, Ridzuan and Amy, our tour guide.

Fooling around at the edge of the beach.

Me and Edi. He really loves coming here.

Later that day, we went to see some cute little penguins.

No cameras allowed inside, so we just took outside the building.

The world's smallest penguins.

I have been wanting to go to Australia since the first time I can remember. Just because I want to see koalas and kangaroos. Since one of my best friend, Amy was studying there, me and Azida took that opportunity to visit her. Yippee..

So Amy took us around Melbourne, where she was staying. Because of a miscommunication, me and Azida took different flights. She and Ridzuan arrived first. Edi and I arrived at night time. So we went to our apartment first thing. Have a good rest to start the day tomorrow.

The next day, Amy took us to Phillip Island, which was famous in Melbourne. We visited Panny's Chocolate Factory. The chocolate was awesome! Then, we just drove around Phillip Island and took pictures of the sceneries and ourselves, of course. Later in the evening, we went to watch penguins coming back home to the shore. The penguins are so little. They're adorable. After that, we went to a supermarket to buy stuff to cook for dinner and breakfast the next day. I can't remember what we ate for dinner. But I'm sure Edi cooked us burgers for breakfast the next morning.

I'll blog about the 2nd day in Aussie next. Stay tune. =D

whAt Do u Like tO drinK..?

I drink Anlene (chocolate) now and then. At the age of 30, I already have a minor knee discomfort. By drinking this, it helps a bit. Pity me.. an old woman trapped in a young body. Boleh ke cmtuh?

These are the other kind of drink I love to drink. The drinks help my digestive system. Sometimes. I drank this actually because I fell for the advertisement/promotion made by Hanis Zalikha. How easily I'm influenced. =D
When I went to buy the drinks, it was also on a promotion. Buy 2 at a cheaper price. Need I to wait some more?

baCk In 2005..

That year, I worked for Prudential. I worked there for a year. The office was at Damansara Intan. The pay wasn't much, but I couldn't be picky back then. Middle of that year, there was a company trip to Kota Kinabalu to climb the mountain. Never imagine myself doing such activity. Before the actual climb, we trained. We climbed the steps of Batu Caves. We also climbed Gunung Datok, somewhere in Seremban, I think.

Anyway, the Kinabalu Mountain climb was an experience I will never forget. There were ups and downs during the climb. I wasn't that fit, but I managed to climb till the top. It took me a whole day to reach Laban Rata. The next day, very early before dawn, we started our journey to the peak. It was very cold and I couldn't stand it. So my face was a little bit swollen. All in all, I was satisfied with the climb and I wish to go again some day. Though I don't think I have the stamina anymore.

The day before the climb

Kaki gunung

The team, there were others but they were left behind.

Amazing view of the trail

Me and Mount Kinabalu

Yup, I've reached the peak!

Before going down, I ate an energy bar to energize my body.
